Denali is the only National Park with a working huskey sled dog crew. Several times a day they allow visitors to mingle with the dogs and then watch a demonstration using a sled, modified to be used without snow.....
According to the Ranger, the dogs are used all winter to haul items around this huge park....
This is the sign on the pen that housed the newest dogs....7 puppies born just a few days ago...puppy cam will start soon as currently they stay with mom and don't leave the warmth of their doghouse. We were able to peek in!
